Ardglass GAC Weekly notes 24th October Games update ACFL Div 3 Ardglass 1-12 Dundrum 1-9 Ardglass Seniors secured and three point victory over Dundrum at a rain soaked Ardtole to secure the necessary two points to ensure division three status for 2012 and also ensure Dundrum must enter the division three relegation play off against St John’s writes Paul O’Shea. The opening half saw the visitors play with the wind, however, resolute defending from Ardglass saw Dundrum going into the half-time break 0-5 to 0-3 in front. In terrible conditions Ardglass needed the leadership of the Deegan brothers to drive the team on. Micheal Magee scored the goal to put Ardglass in front while Liam Mullan slotted over scores from play and from frees to secure the victory. In defence Malachy Crangle held Paul McComiskey to 0-1 from play while Eoin Curran and Sean Paul Halpin provided a great attacking outlet from the half back line. Although Ardglass were well worth their victory it still took a great save from goal keeper Barry Kearney to ensure the vital two points. The Year 9 team tournament has now finished, over their 3 games they played well and saw an improvement in performance week on week. Under-8 training continues each Saturday 10.20-11.30am at Ardtole. However, it will move indoors in November. Details of xa0the Juvenile presentation will be available next week]]>
