Ardglass GAC Mourns Death Of President Joe McGrath

Tribute to late president of Ardglass GAC, Joe McGrath.

Tribute to late president of Ardglass GAC, Joe McGrath.

Ardglass GAC are deeply saddened by the passing of Club President Joe McGrath (93) Joe was a founding member of the Club and was a proud Gael.  Whether it was managing or being on the committee, Joe did what was needed to keep Ardglass GAC going over the years and nothing made him happier than watching the Green and Gold in action on the pitch writes Deborah Magee.

Joe’s contribution to the Club was recognised in 2012 when he was named Club President, a position he held with great pride. Not only did Joe give so much to the Club himself, he also instilled the love of the game and the Club in his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with his daughter Mary being on our committee, his granddaughter Claire being our assistant Secretary, grandson Mark a current senior player, Niall a former player and poignantly his granddaughter Emma made her GAA debut only this week with our G4MO team.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Mary, Anne, Gerard and the entire McGrath family at this sad time. Joe, you were a true Gael who will be missed by all.  Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
