Appeal After Cyclist Struck By Car Near Saintfield

dn_screenPolice in Downpatrick are appealing for information after a cyclist was knocked unconscious on the Old Belfast Road in Saintfield. Local police constable Emma Morrison said: “The cyclist reported to police that he was cycling on the Old Belfast Road in Saintfield on Monday 20 July at around 9pm when he was in collision with a vehicle which may have struck him from behind.

“The cyclist came off his bike and lost consciousness, however, he did not recieve any life threatening injuries.

“We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at that time who may have seen what happened.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Downpatrick police on 101.”
