Another Incident In Castlewellan As Child Approached

dn_screenPolice in Newcastle are investigating the report of a suspicious approach to a 12-year old girl in the Castlewellan Road area of Newcastle on Thursday, 12 June. It was reported that at approximately 8.30am a male described as in his 40’s, approximately 5’6″/5’7″ tall, heavy build with short black receding hair with grey in it, wearing a brown padded coat which had rips on the arms and the front, brown trousers which had rips in both legs and brown boots approached the girl and made remarks which frightened her. Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who was in the area between 8.30am and 8.50am to contact them at Newcastle on the non emergency number 101.
