Alps Organiser Appeals For Support For Coronavirus Project

Ronan Gilchrist, ALPS organise is pushing forward with a new initiative as a response to the coronvirus epidemic.

He said: “With the current situation, many of us are more isolated than ever before. As the times are changing so too are the services we can offer.

“To see us all through this period Alps in partnership with Live and Learn NI is now in a position to offer a FREE weekly phone service to anyone who’s feeling lonely, isolated, vulnerable and needs someone to talk with.

“To set up the service and avail of a call from ourselves please email [email protected] or call us on 07731928058.

“Please pass this onto anyone you think might benefit from this service, particularly in these uncertain times.

“In addition to this, in the Greater Downpatrick/lecale area we are here to assist anyone with all aspects of their daily life and will assist anyone with collecting groceries, prescriptions, hospital or doctor visits or other essentials needed to get through these times.

“If you know of anyone needing this help please dont hesitate to get in touch,we have a team of volunteers together who are only too happy to help anyone that requires it.”
