Alliance Councillor Clarke Calls for DRD Action over Newcastle Drains

ALLIANCE Party Councillor Patrick Clarke has asked DRD Roads Service to carry out an inspection of all water guilles along Park Lane Newcastle of the Shimna Road.
The Newcastle area Councillor has received complaints that guilles along Park Lane in Newcastle still remain blocked despite being previously reported to DRD Roads Service.
Councillor Patrick Clarke said: “I have made written representations to DRD Roads Service following a constituent complaint that the water guilles along Park Lane in Newcastle particularly outside one private property remain blocked and uncleaned despite these being previously reported to DRD Roads Service.”
“I have asked DRD Roads Service to inspect all water guilles along Park Lane and to prioritise this area of Newcastle.xa0With the heavy rainfall in recent weeks, DRD Roads Service have been dealing with a lot of requests from elected representatives but given that this area has not been cleaned I have asked for Park Lane in Newcastle to be prioritised.”
