Alliance Cllr Patrick Clarke Welcomes £120,000 Road Improvements For Drumaroad Hill

dn_screen Cllr Patrick Clarke said: “I warmly welcome the announcement of the resurfacing of 750 metres of Drumaroad Hill at Drumaroad from the B175 Ballynahinch Road junction to the top of Drumaroad Hill at the Chapel Lane junction which will commence fromxa0Monday 14xa0October. “For some considerable time I have been lobbying both Roads Service and the Department of Regional Development to carry out resurfacing to Drumaroad Hill, but due to financial budget constraints a major resurfacing scheme had not been approved. “Drumaroad Hill has been in need of major road resurfacing for some considerable time and was badly affected following the extreme freezing temperatures and prolonged heavy snow back in March 2013 which affected many rural roads in the Drumaroad area. “I have been advised that there will be a temporary road closure which is necessary with traffic being diverted fromxa08.00am until 5.00pmxa0daily fromxa0Monday 14 October to Friday 25 Octoberxa0with diversions via the B175 Ballynahinch Road and Chapel Lane.”  ]]>
