Downpatrick FC Club Notes
Downpatrick FC is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Leahy and Mark Henry as managers of the Ladies team for the forthcoming season. David Telford has also been added to the management team as a fitness coach. Details of training will follow.
Over the coming weeks the club are running a number of different fundraisers for our ongoing Pitch Development Fund, the first event is on Saturday 25xa0January when the amazing UNTOUCHABLES featuring Brian Giffen will be appearing in Murphy’s Bar, Downpatrick.
Hot on the heels of the Untouchables is another wonderful and exciting fundraiser, ‘TAKE ME OUT’ on Saturday 8th February, in Murphy’s Bar, Downpatrick. The club are still looking for contestants to take part in this fundraiser and if you’re interested contact us on our Facebook or Twitter pages.
Both teams are in league action this Saturday, the first team travel to the Billy Neill Playing Fields to take on Dundonald, while the second team entertains Ballynahinch Olympic seconds in Dunleath. Both games kick off at 2.00pm.
Training for the clubs, ‘BIG FIGHT NIGHT’ starts next week in Pegasus Boxing Club in the Ballymote Centre, there is a meeting tonight (6.45pm) in the Ballymote Centre for all those taking part.
