All Go At St Malachy's High School In Castlewellan At Start Of New Term

Pictured are some of the Year 8 students from St Malachy’s High School who took part in a transition programme at the school this week at the start of a new term at St Malachy’s High School in Castlewellan.

The programme is designed to create an ease of movement from Primary 7 into Year 8. They are pictured with the facilitators from the Education Authority who ran the event. They are also pictured with Mrs Jayne Baird, Head of Junior School (middle centre) and Miss Caoimhe McErlane (right of Mrs Baird), Head of Year 8 Girls (missing from photo, Mr Barry Breen – Head of Year 8 boys) who provide support. The School Principal Mrs Joan McCombe and staff thanked those from the Education Authority for running this successful event.

Year 14 students from St Malachy’s High School, Castlewellan are pictured with Head of Senior School, Mrs Maruna Hanna and Caroline McCreight and Kiri Wilson, representatives from AWARE NI,  who gave a presentation on Mental Health awareness to Year 14 students as part of their induction programme. The Principal, staff and students also thanked AWARE NI for this very worthwhile experience.
