This involved working with the organisation to purchase materials for an extended Arts programme. This programme within the centre will provide a series of activities including arts, crafts and painting to those who frequent it.

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Gillian Fitzpatrick highlighted that, “Through schemes like ‘Work It’, we can encourage people back into work and through the Community Projects we can promote local volunteering. Newry, Mourne and Down District has a broad range of community activities and we need to encourage people to give time to support these projects. I would like to congratulate the volunteers of Age NI for taking part in this initiative; it is great to see local people enjoying the community projects being delivered through the ‘Work It’ programme.”
