Downpatrick FC clubnotes for week ending 25th October 2021
The Downpatrick FC Under 13s and 14s got a great day for their sponsored litter pick at Ballyhornan Beach writes Tony McShane.
The activity was organised to raise money for the boys’ kit bags but also provided a huge opportunity for the Club to highlight the effects that pollution and plastics have on our beaches and marine life.
It was also another opportunity for us to bring the lads together following a long period of lockdowns during the pandemic.
As a Club we know the importance of Mental health and the benefits that such activities like today bring to our players and their families. Thanks to everyone who sponsored the boys.
The club are looking for enthusiastic coaches who are interested in helping out at the club to help coach the U6s (2016’s) on a Monday night which will be starting in a couple of weeks, so if you are interested please contact Paul Moore on 07549 661772 or Tony McShane 07716 8539903).
