A Change In Service At Downe Hospital On Christmas Day

On Christmas day at the Downe Hospital there will be a nurse led minor injury service.

A spokesperson for the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust said that there is only one change to services at the Downe Hospital over the Christmas period, and that is on Christmas Day itself.xa0

“On 25^thxa0December, we will provide a Nurse-led Minor Injuries service onxa0 a ‘phone first’ basis.xa0

“Patients will be asked to attend the Downe Hospital at an appointed time or redirected to an appropriate service.xa0

“The Minor Injuries service will continue on the 26^thxa0and 27^thxa0December, as normal.

“The Consultant-led Urgent Care Centre will open on Monday 28^thxa0December at 8am and will be available on New Year’s Day.”
