NMD Council Area Is 3rd For Covid-19 Penalty Notices

Police have issued details of non-compliance penalties served for Covid-19 regulations.

Newry Mourne and Down District Council area was 3rd highest in the council listing out of 11 councils with 216 notices. And the Council area was also 3rd in over 18 penalty notices with 106, being beaten by Belfast Council area and Derry City and Strabane.

Ards and North Down Borough Council was 8th equal with with Lisburn and Castlereagh City with 23 penalties.

Only 4 people in Newry Mourne and Down faced a failure to isolate notice with a fine of £1000, compared to Ards and North Down with 9.
