Trust Issues New Visiting Regulations For Lagan And Ulster

New Visiting Regulations At Ulster And Lagan Valley Hospitals.

The South Eastern HSC Trust is temporarily restricting visiting to the Ulster and Lagan Valley Hospitals.

There is no indication yet about any changes to visiting arrangements at the Downe Hospital.

A Trust spokesperson said: “This is in response to the Health Minister’s restriction of movements to stem the increase is Covid-19 cases and keep people safe.

With immediate effect, only one member of a family will be permitted a visit once a week.

“This must be arranged by appointment with a nurse in charge of the ward they intend to visit.

“More frequent visits may be permitted in exceptional circumstances, by arrangement with the ward.

“Exceptional circumstances include children’s, maternity, critical care and end of life care.

“Restrictions will also apply to residential and nursing homes in some parts of the Trust.

“The restrictions will apply for a minimum period of two weeks, and will be reviewed at that time.”
