“Our aim is to bring some cheer to those residents living in social housing estates in Downpatrick by bringing some light entertainment to their doorsteps whilst adhering to Social Distancing guidance.

“We have a selection of videos posted on our Facebook page available if you follow the link below – as you will see the response is impressive..

“This is a great, positive news story for our County town and reflects the community spirit within Downpatrick. The feedback from our local communities has been fabulous.

“Many people have been confined to their houses for many weeks and our light entertainment package is allowing them to come to their front doors and enjoy some interaction at a safe distance.

“Our support program also includes nightly live “story telling” sessions, distribution of plants for people’s gardens, and a series of weekly videos from our Community Allotments facility. These will all be driven by our Downpatrick Community Collective members.

“See attached above this coming week’s planned schedule for our trailer based entertainment programme.”
