Wreath Laid In Killyleagh To Mark VE Day

All the VE 75 events in Killyleagh were cancelled on VE Day in line with the public safety advice due to the coronavirus epidemic.

The highlight was to be a children’s street party on Friday afternoon and a Tribute to the Millions interdenominational open-air church service on Sunday night.xa0

However, a personal tribute was paidxa0at the War Memorial at 11am on Fridayxa0by Billy Croskery, the chairman of the local Royal British Legion.

Billy Croskery, Chairman of the Killyleagh British Union, lays a wreath at the war memorial at Killyleagh Castle to remember those who lost their lives in World War II.
