Police Appeal After Downpatrick RTA

Police are appealing for witnesses following the report of a road traffic collision in the Killyleagh Road area of Downpatrick yesterday afternoon, Sunday 20 October.

Inspector Gary Moore said: “We received the report of a collision involving a car and two cyclists just before 2pm on Sunday afternoon. 

“Police attended, along with colleagues from Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. The two cyclists were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries, and both men remain in hospital at this time.

“We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have captured dash cam footage, to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 984 of 20/10/19.”
