UUP’s Lewis Concerned Over Seaforde Registration Issues

Alan Lewis has raised concern as Seaforde Forde Green development not being recognised by electoral commission online registration.

UUP representative Alan Lewis.

Ulster Unionist Alan Lewis has raised concerns with the electoral office after it transpired that new residents, homeowners and tenants moving into new build houses at Forde Way are unable to register to vote using the electoral commissions online registration tool.

He said: “I have this morning spoken with officials and advised of my frustration that new residents are unable to use the online registration tool as the development Forde Green is not yet recognised. This means that some residents may now miss out on registration meaning they will not have a vote in the upcoming local government election.

“This is an unfortunate oversight that must be corrected as a matter of urgency. I am preparing to physically register residents and deliver the forms to Belfast myself.”
