Mourne’s Sinn Fein Councillor Willie Clarke has condemnedxa0 those responsible for illegal dumping at the green in Burrendale Park in Newcastle.
Cllr Clarke said: “I have contacted the Housing Executive to carry out an investigation into who is responsible and to have the area cleared. I have been involved with the local community in a number of community clean ups in this area, and it is truly shocking the total disregard some people have for the community.
“Sinn Féin is concerned not only about the environmental damage being done here but the long-term health of local residents due to this indiscriminate fly-tipping by people who have a total disregard for the community”.
