Boyle To Chair £1.4million Portaferry Realm Body

Ards and North Down Borough xa0Councillor Joe Boyle has welcomed his recent appointment as Chairperson of the Council Committee overseeing the proposed £1.4m Public Realm Scheme Investment for Portaferry.

He said: “I would like to place on record a huge thank you to those elected members within the Council representing the Ulster Unionists, Alliance, Green Party, TUV and Independents for their support and confidence demonstrated and expressed towards me in achieving the position of Chairperson of this Committee.”

“Councillor Boyle added: “I look forward to working collectively with elected members, Council Officials, Department for Community (DFI ) Officials, stakeholders, and businesses and representatives from the community.

“This is a very significant investment for Portaferry, and the determinination as to areas where this investment will eventually target will be the role of the committee. It goes without saying that the committee will be keen to maximise the £1.4m scheme for the benefit of those living within and visiting Portaferry.

“Everyone involved will be keen to deliver this scheme without delay and with as least inconvenience as possible to the community”.
