St John’s GAC Notes for 31st December 2018

St. John’s Will host a charity football match this Saturday 5th January at 2pm.

All adult (over 17) players welcome. Men/ladies and non playing members. Anyone training with senior men or ladies teams should wear welly boots or be in fancy dress. All players to be at the club for 1pm on the day for 2pm start. Recommended donation of £10 per player with all monies going to cancer fund for children. Anyone intending on playing can you let Alan Henderson 07738 166588 know so teams can be sorted beforehand. Refreshments after the match.

*xa0 In the Season of giving, two of our club representative had the pleasure of accepting donations on behalf of ‘Help Siobhan beat her toughest opponent’ from Dromara GAC and Sarah Bell of Dunmore Boarding and Grooming. Dromara GAC raised £1,125 at their Centenary Gala Ball and Sarah Bell donated £5 from every groom in Nov/ Dec raising £100. Our thanks and appreciation to everyone involved.

*xa0 St. John’s is getting on board with Operation Transformation and the GAA for Ireland Lights Up.xa0 Every Thursday from the 17th January – 21st February 2019 our club will be open and lit up for you, your family and friends to come and walk from 7pm to 9pm.

*xa0 We want everyone to come and join for Ireland Lights Up 2019!

All are welcome to come to this event. This event is free of charge as is car parking but please try to car share where possible.

The walking group will be out for their first dander of 2019 on Saturday morning (5th Jan) with a stretch of the Ulster Way from Fofanny to Tollymore, leaving St John’s at 9.00am. Contact Kevin McGlynn onxa0078 3596 0804
