Ballynahinch RFC Club Notes For 29th September 2018

Ballynahinch RFC Rugby Round-up – 29th September 2018

xa0Club Notes.

Despite a raft of players missing at the weekend through injury and and unavailability the 3rds managed an excellent 39-10 home victory over Grosvenor 2nds as they continue to set the standard in Provincial League Section 1. A patched up 4th XV missing ten regulars went down to a heavy defeat against a resurgent Queen’s 2nds.

Ballynahinch Ladies opened their League campaign with a bonus point away win at Omagh and would appreciate your support as they entertain Cavan on Sunday afternoon at Ballymacarn Park.

Mini rugby continues on Saturday mornings from 9.30-11am. Boys and girls from P1 – Yr8 are all welcome, with training run for each age group in their school year. Mini rugby news is posted weekly on the club Facebook page:

Youth rugby continues on Wednesday nights 7 30 – 9pm. The U-16’s had an excellent win at Instonians on Saturday and continue their league programme at home to Randalstown this weekend.

Subscriptions are now due for all members. Convenor David Napier can be contacted for more information.

Pre-match lunches will be extremely busy this season with 4 local derbies to look forward to in Division 1B and the return of St.Mary’s RFC to Ballymacarn Park. As a result the club has introduced a 250 club ticket which guarantees the holder a place at all nine home AIL lunches as well as the Malone SONI Premiership game. For more information see any member of council. The home fixture versus Banbridge is officially sold out.

Tickets for the New Zealand game this autumn are proving to be in high demand and the club is holding a draw for two tickets plus an overnight stay in Dublin. Priced at £5, they are available from all council members.

Tickets for the autumn internationals versus Argentina and USA are still available. Please contact any club council member for more details.
