Come Enjoy The Craic At Portavogie Seafood Festival

‘Paul and Nick’s Big Food Adventure’ heads to Portavogie Seafood Festival.

Join celebrity chef duo, Paul Rankin and Nick Nairn, at this year’s Portavogie Seafood Festival on Saturday 11 August, 12noon-5pm.

The TV chefs will be entertaining the crowds with their “unique” cooking demos at the harbour whilst showcasing all our best seafood produce.

There will be an array of seafood delights from Northern Ireland’s biggest fish market and artisan food stalls who will be vying for the “best stall” prize on the day.

Cllr Richard Smart, Chairman of Ards and North Down Borough Council launches this year’s Portavogie Seafood Festival happening on Saturday 11 August from 12noon. The annual event will see celebrity chefs Paul Rankin and Nick Nairn putting on cookery demos. If you love seafood this is the event for you!

Enjoy the spectacle as one of NI’s strongest men attempt to pull a trawler across the harbour at 3pm.

New this year, a Strongman Trawler Pull will wow crowds as the area’s toughest men demonstrate this unusual event.

Kids will be kept well entertained with nautical fun including a touch tank, fishy characters, crafts and a funfair. They can also win a prize for the best dressed ‘sea-themed’ boy and girl.

The Mayor of Ards and North Down, Councillor Richard Smart, is looking forward to the festival.  He said: “In its third year, Portavogie Seafood Festival is now a must-visit on the Northern Ireland foodie calendar and I am looking forward to welcoming visitors to this great family day out.  Where better is there to taste local food at its best than Portavogie?”
