Sinn Féin Welcome Improvements To Rural Roadsxa0

Sinn Féin MLA Emma Rogan and Slieve Croob Cllr John Rice have welcomed the announcement by the Department of Infrastructure that they will be carrying out essential repair and resurfacing work to both the Heights Road in Loughinisland and the Deryneil Road in Leitrim.
Emma Rogan MLA said:xa0 “This work was well overdue, both myself and Cllr Rice have been highlighting the major crisis that our rural roads are facing for the past number of months now.

“This type of investment and work needs to be seen right across the board. Too many rural roads became incredibly dangerous over the winter months and we cannot see a repeat of this.”
Cllr Rice added: “Rural communities are increasingly feeling let down when it comes to the condition of their roads.
“This work will be greatly welcomed by the local communities in Loughinisland and Leitrim.”
