RGU Notes for 25 June 2018

Friday night saw one of the biggest crowds of the year at PTR for what turned out to be a very low key affair with Kilcoo as both teams fielded vey depleted teams. The Magpies ran out 3 point winners writes Collie Quinn.xa0

Next up is an away fixture with table topping CPN tonight

The ladies came out on top in a very high scoring game with St Galls on Wednesday night and there is now a break for a few weeks

The Minors had a good win on Tuesday night past at home to Clonduff with a very polished and disciplined performance

The U-16 boys had a disappointing reversal at home to Loughinisland on Thursday but certainly got that performance out of their system with a comprehensive win away to Castlewellan on Sunday

The U-14 boys suffered a disappointing two point reversal away to Castlewellan on Tuesday past in a very high scoring game and are now fully focussed on the national Feile which is being held over this weekend.

This is an All-Ireland competition which is being hosted in Down, Meath and Louth over Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

RGU are hosting a girls’ team form Sallins in Co Kildare and a boys team form Thomas Davis Club in Dublin.

This is bound to be a veritable feat of football and all other GAA activity is put on hold for the weekend. We have a series of activities arranged for the visitors who are being hosted by families in Downpatrick and even the weather promises to be good for us. Se Facebook for updates.

The U-12 girls travelled to Cherryvale on Wednesday night and after a very enjoyable hours play came away with the spoils. Motoring very well now!
