Chocks Away For Ballynahinch Air Cadets

Looking forward to a thrilling line up for the 2017 Festival of Flight on Saturday 5 August, headlined by the world-famous Red Arrows, are some of the Ballynahinch Air Cadets who will be on duty at the region’s favourite celebration of all things aeronautical.

Organised by Newry Mourne and Down District Council and sponsored by Rockwell Collins, the festival will attract audiences of around 100,000 to Newcastle and surrounding area to enjoy an awe-inspiring airshow over the natural amphitheatre of Dundrum Bay, with a packed programme of free family entertainment at ground level.

There will even be an opportunity to climb into the Air Cadets’ Jet Provost cockpit to get a ground-level feel for what it might be like to take the controls of a real aircraft!
