South Bank Playhouse makes a welcome return to Newcastle on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 July with Alan Ayckbourn’s critically acclaimed, ‘Neighbourhood Watch’, a comedy about a community taking justice into their own hands.
Meet Martin and Hilda Massie, the unassuming new residents of Bluebell Hill Development in search of a peaceful, quiet and wholesome existence; until they meet their new neighbours.
Over the course of four months the siblings face a series of dilemmas after a gathering of the Neighbourhood Watch goes awry. A family keepsake is vandalised mid-meeting, leading to fears for the neighbourhood’s safety.
Neighbourhood Watch will take place in Newcastle Community Cinema and starts at 8pm with bar facilities from 7pm.
