Craig Welcomes Ballymacarn Road Improvements

Newry Mourne and Down District Council Slieve Croob Councillor Garth Craigxa0is joined by local residents, Mervyn McIlwaine (left) and David Carlisle to look over recent improvement works carried out to Ballymacarn Road near Ballynahinch.

Cllr. Craig said that he had contacted the local road maintenance engineer about two months ago as subsidence was causing stability problems for large farm machinery, and also road safety issues for motorists who were unfamiliar with the road surface.

He congratulated the Dept. of Infrastructure for their speedy response to the problem, in carrying out much needed repairs to various sections of the road.
