Police Investigate Newcastle ATM Damage

Detectives in Downpatrick are investigating the report of damage to an ATM machine outside a supermarket on the Castlewellan Road in Newcastle on Tuesday 14 March.

Detective Sergeant Trish Bardon said: “It is believed the damage was caused sometime between 10pm and 11pm as a result of an attempt to remove the machine from the wall.

Enquiries into the matter are ongoing and I would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area to contact detectives in Downpatrick on 101 quoting reference number 1314 14/03/17 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
