McGrath Calls For Information On Newcastle Fire

dn_screenSouth Down MLA Colin McGrath (SDSLP) has called for anyone with relevant information regarding a recent fire in the Burrendale Park Road in Newcastle to contact the police immediately.

Commenting, the South Down MLA said: “I was saddened to hear of this further incident in this area of Newcastle. I’m sure the families are distraught especially around Christmas.

“I urge anyone with any relevant information to come forward immediately to help the police with their investigation. It appears that this fire has been started deliberately.

“This was a reckless act that could have put lives in danger.xa0I thank the Fire Service for their quick response in tackling the blaze and ensuring that all those caught up in the fire were rescued and brought to safety. They continue to provide an invaluable service for the community.”
