Downpatrick Lions Present Defibrillator To Maxol Garage

Downpatrick Lions Club recently presented a defibrillator at Maxol Service Station, New Bridge Street, Downpatrick.

Money for the device was raised by Downpatrick Lions Club with the help of the Maxol Station’s staff and customers. The portable defibrillator is located behind the reception area inside the service station and can be accessed 24-hours a day.

The defibrillator is available for the use of people in the Church Street/New Bridge Street area of Downpatrick or anyone else who unfortunately suffers a cardiac arrest in this location.

Downpatrick Lions Club have already been involved in placing public access defibrillators in other areas of Downpatrick and district over the past four years.

Downpatrick Lions are at present organising another free, basic first aid course (including CPR and defibrillator training) at a local venue. Anyone interested in attending this session from 6.30pm – 9.30pm on a midweek night in the near future should ring the Lions Club on 07787578665.
