St John’s GAC are holding their annual Golf Day at Spa GC on Friday 2nd September. The cost is £30 per person to include green fees, goody bag and meal.
To sponsor a hole the cost is £50 or for individuals to be listed on the sponsors board is £20.
Tee times are limited to between 9.30am and 1.30pm so book your slot early to avoid disappointment.

The annual Gerry Burns tournament had to be postponed last weekend because of the bad weather. It will now take place on Saturday 3 September
Both our men and ladies progressed to the next round of the championship last week. Our senior men will face Carryduff this Saturday in Downpatrick at 2.00 in the IFC quarter final and our ladies will face Saval in the Junior Ladies Championship on Sunday at 6.00. Support your club!

Our walking group spent a very pleasant hour strolling around the lanes and byways between Castlewellan and Maghera last Wednesday (17 August). We didn’t go for scones afterwards but the blackberries along the way were bursting with flavour.
