Downpatrick FC Club Notes For Week Beginning 9th May 2016

Downpatrick FC’s impressive run continued last week with wins over Crumlin Star (4 – 0), Crumlin United (3 – 0) and Nortel FC (3 – 1), with Stephen Galbraith scoring six goals in the week withxa0Philip Traynor two goals and Jamie Sharvin & Peter Telford one each.

Saturdays match against Nortel was sponsored by Scullion & Green Solicitors, Downpatrick. This weeks fixtures saw Ards Rangers travel to Rosconnor on Tuesday night, kick off at 7.00pm. This match was sponsored by Peter Fitzpatrick & Sons Estate Agents.

Then on Thursday night we travel to play Nortel with the match kicking off at 7.00pm. On Saturday we welcome Islandmagee to Rosconnor. xa0Please note this match kicks off at 11.00am. We would like to thank all those who sponsored the matches.

The seconds play their last game of the season on Thursday night when they travel to play Ballyvea, this match kicks off at 6.30pm.

We are delighted to announce that CY Kearney motors has agreed to sponsor the senior team polo shirts for another season.

The ladies ran out six nil winners last Wednesday night against Craigavon City Ladies in Dunleath. The goals coming from Morgan Shannon who got two, Clara Kerr, Emma Carling, Ashlene Kearney and Kyla Trainor. This week the ladies play Valley Rangers Ladies at Binian Park, kick off is 7.30pm.

The Mini Soccer will be finishing this Sunday morning at the 3G pitch in the Red High.

Mini Soccer training will be finishing for the season on Monday 16 at the 3G pitch in the Red High and indoors for the U-6’s in the De La Salle High School.
