Saintfield Development Association To Hold AGM

The Saintfield Development Association, a local registered charity, will hold its annual general meeting at Saintfield Sports Club on Monday 13th June at 7.30pm.

dn_screenTwo speakers will give short presentations at the meeting. The first is Ellen Brennan, the coordinator for the Rowallane District Electoral Area, of which the SDA has been selected as a member.

The second speaker is Justyna McCabe, who was recently appointed by the Newry Mourne and Down Council as project manager for the Saintfield Community Centre.

Barbara Graham of the SDA Coordinating Committee said: “ I would encourage all Saintfield residents to attend and hear what their association has been doing to improve the infrastructure and facilities of the village, as well as our plans for the future. Our main project at present is the finalisation and completion of the proposed community centre, which is at last happening after months of negotiation and planning.”

Outgoing chairman Martyn Todd said: “The AGM provides residents with an opportunity to have a say in the affairs of their town and we hope will also encourage them to join the Association and perhaps become involved with one of our committees, who would welcome some new blood.”
