SERC To Put Thirty Residents In Downpatrick Neighbourhood Renewal Programme Through Their Driving Test

dn_screenIt is an intensive course offering unemployed and underemployed individuals the opportunity to gain new practical skills and achieve nationally recognised vocational qualifications including courses in retail, catering/hospitality, health and social care and energy efficiency in domestic heating. As well as qualifications in IT, personal development and learning management.

Thirty residents from the Downpatrick Neighbourhood Renewal area aged seventeen and over will be put in the driving seat and will be given the opportunity to pick up the pace on their own careers with eighteen free driving lessons leading to obtaining a full car driving licence.

The course will commence in June, closing date for applications is 20 May 2016.
