Last weekend club member Mickey Clarke represented Shimna Wheelers at the first round of the Irish NPS XC series in Union Wood, Sligo.

Over the winter months Mickey has been focused on increasing his fitness levels and bike handling skills after a successful autumn competing in the cyclo-cross mountain bike support races. The progress he has made was evident in his race result, finishing 21st out of 52 riders in the Senior 3 category.

Sprocket Rockets:

Thirteen of the Sprocket Rockets parents had completed the Cycling Ireland Sprocket Rocket course back in November and at the weekend Shimna Wheelers Chairman Neil McLaughlin presented the certificates to those parents who were able to attend Saturday’s Rockets training session.
