Fitzpatrick Warns Farmers To Be Alert Following Attempted Fertiliser Theft Near Mayobridge

SDLP Councillor Gillian Fitzpatrick has urged vigilance among the farming community after the attempted theft of fertiliser in the Mayobridge area.

dn_screenCllr Fitzpatrick said:xa0“Farming families across the North are continuing to find it difficult to make ends meet as a result of suppressed dairy and meat prices. The last thing anyone needs is a theft or a burglary setting them back even further.

“After the attempted theft of fertiliser in Mayobridge last night, I’m urging local people to exercise extra vigilance and to safeguard their properties. I would also appeal to people to look out for their neighbours, this is a tight knit community so it’s important that we all have each other’s back.

“If anyone notices anything suspicious, I would encourage them to report it to the police as soon as possible.”
