Séan Rogers MLA has contacted O2 following complaints about a poor service in the Drumaness area.

South Down SDLP MLA Seán Rogers has spoken out following numerous reports of little to no mobile coverage in Drumaness.

Mr Rogers said: “I along with my party colleague Cllr Mark Murnin have been inundated with complaints in respect of 02 in the Drumaness area.

“I made urgent representations to 02 to try and get this issue resolved. Access to a mobile phone and mobile data is now an essential part of daily life and for the people in Drumaness to be so badly affected is unacceptable.

“I hope that the issue has now been resolved. However, it does highlight the wider issue of the need for broadband and full mobile coverage and again how rural dwellers continue to be so severely disadvantaged.”
