Banks Bras And Going Bust In ‘Love or Money’ At Down Arts Centre

c21 Theatre Company are bringing a biting new comedy about the underside of the recession, finance and fidelity to the Down Arts Centre in Downpatrick.

Love or Money’ follows Eilish who is back in the dating game but also back in court rebuilding her law career. She has a demanding boss, a demanding life and a new boyfriend. As her work and her relationship develop, Eilish finds herself embroiled in a world of hidden identity, missing documents and bras… lots of bras.

Love or Money’ is another satirical gem from the partnership between Rosemary Jenkinson and c21 Theatre Company, who are responsible for last year’s sell-out NHS themed hit “Stitched Up”. Jenkinson was inspired to write ‘Love or Money’ after researching current affairs reports about the relationship between banks and business during the recession. The comedy riotously combines the pressures of modern life with the pressures and reality of keeping the doors of business open.

c21 Theatre Company’s Creative Director and Director of ‘Love or Money’, Steven Kelly said, “c21 Theatre Company is delighted to continue its relationship with Rosemary Jenkinson. ‘Love or Money’ combines what c21 Theatre Company likes most about new theatre as it is imaginative, unexpected, and very very funny.”
