Crotlieve SDLP Councillor Gillian Fitzpatrick has welcomed the completion of improvement works in Mayobridge and the opening of the road going through the area once more.
She said:xa0“First of all, I want to thank the workers who completed the road works in Mayobridge so efficiently, and also local people for their patience during the time diversions were put in place. Our new road is fantastic and has already enhanced the area.
“It is important now that people obey the 30mph limit through the area. As we approach Christmas, road accidents tend to increase with adverse weather conditions, some of which we have already seen.
“I would appeal to local people and those travelling through the area to exercise caution and drive carefully on the improved section of road.”
