See Mount Stewart In A New Light

The Festival of Light returns to Mount Stewart this November and it is set to be more mesmerising than ever with a new winter theme.

dn_screenSupport by Tourism NI, the National Trust Festival of Light will open for ten nights from Friday 20 November until Sunday 29 November.

Based on the French ‘Son et Lumiere’ shows, this year’s festival promises to be a spectacular display. The Lake Walk and wonderful new art installations will come alive to the sound of mystical music and shimmering colour. And you can also take a peek inside the recently restored family home to see a selection of rooms revealed in a new light.

Janet Vance, National Trust said:xa0“The team at Mount Stewart are looking forward to creating a kaleidoscope of colour for our new winter themed festival – production managed by Belfast based company Wackiki. We’re delighted to have gained funding from Tourism NI and have added some really interesting extras to this year’s extravaganza.

“With coloured LED orbs lighting up the walk ways, dazzling art installations by local artists in the gardens and in some of the rooms in the recently restored house, it will be a magical winter experience not to be missed.

“Our tipis will house local producers offering up festive treats and visitors can take in the ethereal atmosphere whilst relaxing by the open fire – don’t forget to bring your marshmallows to toast!”

Wrap up for a winter night like no other at Mount Stewart’s Festival of Light.
