The Rug House Ltd. is a leading online business selling rugs and other homewares throughout the UK, Ireland and internationally. We are a family run business with many years’ experience trading in home furnishings and we have recently opened our first retail showroom in Newry to much success.
To assist us in maximising sales and providing excellent customer service we are recruiting for a showroom sales colleague as a temporary position from Oct 5th 2015 until Jan 18th 2016.
The Role: * xa0To achieve daily sales targets through outstanding customer service.
* xa0Advising customers on stock availability, promotions and price enquiries. * xa0Process customer returns and ordering stock. * xa0Giving advice and guidance on customer care of the products. * xa0Responsible for all cash handling, till transactions and loyalty cards. * xa0Maintaining the appearance of the specialist showroom through weekly merchandising, stock rotation and placing new lines.
* Price and display items and keep the store tidy and attractive. The Person: * xa0Previous sales experience in a fast paced environment is essential. * xa0Highly motivated to achieve sales targets and increase customer base. * xa0Ability to work independently and apply common sense under pressure. * xa0Excellent communication skills and ability to tailor their approach to individual customers. • Confident and an outgoing personality, with a passion for exceeding customers expectations. * xa0Retail qualifications are desirable. * xa0Must possess a courteous manner and have a neat and tidy appearance. * xa0Fully flexible to work day, evenings and weekends in line with the opening hours. The showroom opening hours are: Mon-Fri 9-5pm Thurs 9-8pm Sat 10-5pm
These opening hours will increase over November and December when we enter our most busiest period. Minimum hours 16 per week to 30hrs a week.
