Ruane Calls For Support For Samaritans

Following her attendance at a fundraising event for the Samaritans at the Buttercrane Shopping Centre in Newry, Sinn Féin South Down MLA Caitriona Ruane has called on the community to support their work.

Ms Ruane said: ‘The Samaritans provide an invaluable service for people who may be experiencing a very difficult time in their lives. They are there for people day and night, offering help and support without judgement.

“As their work is voluntary, it is so important that we help the Samaritans in Newry and Dundalk to help their communities. I would urge everyone to do what they can to support them, from helping raise funds and awareness of what they do, to volunteering themselves.”
