The Mayor of Ards and North Down, Alderman Alan Graham, was saddened to hear about the death of motorcycle doctor John Hinds.
He said:xa0“I was deeply saddened to learn of John’s death. He was known for being a true gentleman as well as a dedicated and talented physician, whether tending to patients in the trauma room of a hospital or at the side of a race track.
“Many people owe John their lives and for him to be taken from us at such a young age is a terrible incredible tragedy.
“I would like to offer my condolences, on behalf of the Council, to his family and friends at this difficult time.”
