Baily Green Heads Entries For Down Royal thetote.com Galway Plate Trial
Champion Chase second Baily Green heads a stellar line up of entries for thetote.com Galway Plate Trial at Down Royal on Friday 19 June. Mouse Morris’ nine-year-old was just denied an elusive Grade 1 win at the Punchestown Festival by Felix Yonger but drops down to handicap-company for the first time over fences. Morris has also entered Ravished, who is unbeaten on his two starts over fences to date and Horendus Hulabaloo another to have won his last two starts among his six-strong team.

Champion owner, Gigginstown House Stud, have entered nine including the Gordon Elliott-trained pair Make A Track and Fort Smith. Make A Track finished just ahead of his fellow Gigginstown-owned Rathlin at Punchestown last time and will be looking to make it three wins on the bounce here.
Akorakor is another Gordon Elliott-trained runner for Gigginstown House Stud and he will be looking to build on his beginners’ chase success at Kilbeggan last time.
Others of interest to be entered are former Grade 1 winner, Realt Mor, again for Gordon Elliott, Urano for champion trainer Willie Mullins, while Mr Fiftyone, the only horse to have beaten Un De Sceaux over fences to date, could represent Jessica Harrington.
Also on the card is thetote.com Mares Hurdle, won last year by the highly progressive Little King Robin, where the 123-rated Queen Alphabet will face stiff competition from recent winners Collen Beag, The Nutcracker and Western Home.

There are several entries here that would not look out of place in the big race on the 29 July and we were happy to hear that Aranhill Chief, winner of our first trial at Roscommon is fully on course for Ballybrit.”
