Polish Artist Conrad Lawlaszek To Open Exhibition On Newry

A new exhibition by Polish artist Conrad Pawlaszek will open in the John Bell Gallery, Sean Hollywood Arts Centre, in Newry on 6 March at 7.30 pm.

Conrad Pawlaszek is a locally-based Polish artist, dancer and choreographer. Conrad’s work is inspired by the Polish paper cuts and it aims to bring this traditional craft into the modern era. His new exhibition reflects on his life in Northern Ireland and celebrates his Polish identity.

He studied Humanities and Arts at college in Poland. He also attended Maria Curie University in Lublin and graduated with a First Class Honours BA in Culture Management and Community Arts in 2001 and gained a Master’s Degree in Education in 2004. This is his sixth exhibition.

The exhibition will be on view Monday to Friday 9am – 6pm and Saturday 9am – 3pm until 27 March 2015.
