Police Appeal After Road Death Near Downpatrick

dn_screenAt approximately 1pm on Monday 29 December, a fatal road traffic collision occurred on the Strangford Road, Downpatrick, close to Lisboy Road, where 20 year old Jack Murnin died.

Inspector Mark Peters said: “Police in attendance at this collision observed diesel on the road. I would appeal to anyone who noticed diesel on the Strangford Road, between Quoile Bridge and Strangford, or who can help identify where the spillage came from, to contact officers in Downpatrick or the Collision Investigation Unit in Steeple on 101.”
