Newcastle Jobseekers Excused From Signing On For Two week Period

Jobseekers who attend Newcastle Social Security Office (SSO) are being excused from signing between 8 – 19 December.

This excusal for those claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA) comes as the office undergoes some routine maintenance to improve accessibility to the building.

Those affected have already been informed of this brief change and have been advised that their payments will be automated during this period. Allowing for the Christmas period also, normal signing and service will recommence from 2 January 2015 for Newcastle Jobseekers.

Other claimants who may attend the Newcastle office for any other service, including advice and Crisis Loans, remain unaffected.

Any JSA claimants with any concerns should contact the Social Security Agency’s Jobseeker’s Allowance advice line on 0800 022 4250.
