Drumaness Ferguson tractor enthusiasts are delighted to announce that £2421 was raised to support the work of NI Children’s Hospice at their Vintage Tractor and Threshing Day which took place in Drumaness on Saturday 11 October.
Working throughout Northern Ireland, the Children’s Hospice provides respite and end of life care to almost 300 life-limited children and their families each year. This specialist nursing care is delivered through the Children’s Hospice Buildings in Newtownabbey and Kiladeas and in local communities across Northern Ireland.
Speaking on behalf of the Drumaness Ferguson Enthusiasts, event organiser Colin Taylor said:xa0“We are delighted to support the Children’s Hospice through this year’s Vintage Tractor and Threshing Day. We organised this event in memory of Oscar Knox and are overwhelmed by the support we received.
“We would like to thank everyone who came along to the event and gave so generously for this local children’s charity. We are proud to be associated with such a very worthy cause”.
Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice fund raiser Jenay Doyle said:xa0“We are delighted that the Drumaness Ferguson Enthusiasts chose to support our charity in memory of Oscar Knox.xa0 It is thanks to support such as this that we are able to provide specialist nursing care to life-limited children and their families across Northern Ireland.
“It costs £3 million to run our services every year and we depend on support from the local community to help us raise the £2.5 million we need from voluntary donations, so we are very gratefulxa0”
