Alliance Councillor Patrick Clarke Calls For Bus Shelter In Clough

dn_screenAlliance Councillor Patrick Clarke has called for the provision of a bus shelter to be provided at the Church Court bus stop on the Castlewellan Road, Clough.

Councillor Clarke has raised the matter with Down District Council following concerns from parents of school children.

He said:xa0″The statistics I have received from Translink show this bus stop route is used by both school children and also adults and is a busy bus stop route as it currently is covered by the 17a bus service as well as the 17H and 18H school bus services.

“The current bus stop is quite exposed and there is no appropriate shelter for adults or children to stand along the Castlewellan Road during very poor weather.

“I have now been in touch with Down District Council who has now began the process of contacting the relevant authorities regarding the provision of a bus shelter at Church Court.”
